Mikala Moffitt
Executive Director & Co-Founder
Mikala Moffitt, LCSW, earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from California State University, Chico, and her Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University. She has over a decade of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, advocating for human trafficking victims and at-risk youth. She is the Executive Director of Empowerment Access Foundation and serves on the board of the Central Florida Human Trafficking Task Force.
Her experience includes serving as a Victim Specialist embedded with law enforcement at the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation, providing direct services to human trafficking victims from recovery through investigation and prosecution, and as Director of Anti-Trafficking Mobile Teams at One More Child. She contributed to the textbook Human Trafficking: A Comprehensive Exploration of Modern-Day Slavery.
She has received several prestigious awards, including Community Advocate of the Year (2019) from Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody and the Catalyst Award (2023) at the Polaris Star Awards Ceremony.
Ken Klien
President & Co-Founder
Ken Klein brings a wealth of leadership experience and a deep dedication to serving vulnerable communities. As a previous board member of Child Advocates of Placer County, he has been actively involved in supporting at-risk youth, offering guidance and advocacy to help them thrive.
His 15 years of coaching middle school wrestling have given him a unique insight into mentoring young people, helping them develop resilience and overcome challenges.
As the Co-Founder of the Empowerment Access Foundation, Ken plays a key role in the organization’s growth and development, with a special focus on driving fundraising initiatives.
Committed to the foundation’s mission of empowering survivors of human trafficking and providing essential resources to aged-out foster youth, Ken serves in a non-salaried capacity, ensuring his efforts are fully dedicated to advancing these critical causes.
Brandon Klein
Administrative Coordinator
Brandon Klein is the Administrative Coordinator at Empowerment Access Foundation, where he utilizes his diverse experience in customer service, automotive repair, recruitment, and leadership to advance the organization’s mission. His strong organizational abilities, problem-solving skills, and commitment to service help create efficient systems that allow the foundation to focus on empowering communities.
With a proven track record in improving workflows, managing operations, and building collaborative partnerships, Brandon’s expertise in database management, strategic planning, and client relations ensures seamless administrative operations. His work directly supports the foundation’s goals, contributing to meaningful change and strengthening the impact on those served.
Brandon’s academic background and professional experience highlight his dedication to fostering trust and integrity in every endeavor. Throughout his career, he has focused on making connections, solving challenges, and driving initiatives that benefit others.
